I post here a year and two months since the last one to tell you that I'm not dead! No sir-ee, I've just been locked out of editing this website for some reason, and finally I've been let back into the system.

Haha, yeah sorry about that. GCSEs have come and gone, and now I'm facing the hell that is AS Maths. But I digress, I still have a little time for game development, and that's why I'm here! To bring this site back! And to celebrate that I'm giving it a complete overhaul in the graphical department. When I first launched it, I wanted it to have a cosy feel, but it kind of looks a bit crap because of that. I'm going to do some amazing designs and be testing them out over the next few weeks. So things may change quite a bit for a while.
As for games, City of Deaf I totally forgot about. It's crazy really, I had the hit detection going nowhere and the cone of vision just not working. I'll try revisiting it, but no promises that it's getting anywhere.
Alas, Snarkbaited my aclaimed artist has moved on to pastures new - no, he's not dead, he's just doing his own thing now. So that means I have no artist. Which is a bad thing. So if you think you want to be an amazing artist for no pay whatsoever besides being in the credits and a whole bunch of 'thank-you's, then feel free to leave a comment with some examples!

This is the new devlog for CITY OF DEAF. This is a thing I will be doing, hopefully regularly. Enjoy, and feel free to post suggestions on what the game should have added to it.

So, I am quite ill, and i have had a pretty pants day because of that, but I thought I would still record my progress for the sheer hell of it .
Anyway, here is what I have done:
- I finished building the city
-fine tuned shadows
-in the midst of tweaking enemy AI so the game is possible
-That is it
-I feel so terrible

I don't have much time... It's nearly time for sleep!
Okay, so it's now when I have created the devlog. So far, the engine for detection is working. The one issue I have with it is that the AI don't have a cone of vision (meaning the AI's field of view doesn't start small, and become wider the further away the distance is), but they just see anything that they're facing towards thats not behind a wall. eh.
So the gist of COD is (wow, just noticed, Call Of Duty stole my Achronym) basically about Dave Davidson, a newbie assassin. He isn't very good at shooting accurately, so he has to stand still while shooting. His first assignment isn't the typical "Get the Coffee without dropping it" dealio, oh no -
He must take out an entire town of evil people. Who are also deaf, which makes things easier. But because they are all evil, they all carry guns with them. Big guns. I'm talking insta-kills here people. If you're cool, you would have visited my Screenshots page - You can see on the HUD that there is NO HEALTH. If you shoot someone, they die. If someone sees you kill said someone, they shoot you. If you get shot, you die. See how this works?
I hope it all goes as well as planned. Alright, that's enough for now.

A new game is in the making.
I have dubbed it "CITY OF DEAF".
Dave Davidson (you) is/are a master assassin, who is tasked with taking out an entire city of Evil people. Evil people carry guns with them at all times. This may sound impossible, but there is a qwirk to this particular mission: Everyone in the city besides you is deaf. This means the moment they witness you killing someone, they shoot. But they do not hear your footsteps, or your gunfire, at all.
